Brad Jacobs Leads Canadian Team to Victory Over South Korea at Pan Continental Curling Championships

Canada’s Brad Jacobs remains undefeated at the Pan Continental Curling Championships after a dominant 14-6 victory over South Korea in Virginia, Minn. The teams were tied 5-5 after the first five ends, but Jacobs’ team from Calgary took control with a four-point sixth end and extended their lead with five more points in the eighth. South Korea’s Soo-Hyuk Kim started strong but struggled in the latter half of the game.

Jacobs, along with vice-skip Marc Kennedy, second Brett Gallant, and lead Ben Hebert, showcased excellent performance, shooting a combined 93%. Kennedy led the team with an impressive 95% accuracy. Canada’s next match is against New Zealand’s Sean Becker, who is yet to secure a win in the tournament.

In the women’s event, Ottawa’s Rachel Homan secured a comfortable 9-3 victory over Mexico’s Adriana Camarena, taking the lead with three points in the first end. Homan, with a 2-1 record, will face South Korea’s Eunji Gim and China’s Rui Wang in upcoming matches on Thursday.

The Pan Continental Curling Championships serve as a qualifying event for the 2026 men’s and women’s world championships, providing an opportunity for teams to showcase their skills on the international stage.
