Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney had previously expressed plans to boost exports to countries outside the US in response to Trump’s tariff threats. However, Carney’s office has not yet responded to Trump’s recent actions, as the prime minister departs for an Asian summit while Trump prepares for a similar engagement.
