“Royal Scandal Reignited by Posthumous Memoir”

-

The Royal Family faces renewed scrutiny with the release of a posthumous memoir titled “Nobody’s Girl” by the late Virginia Giuffre, a prominent accuser of Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein. Giuffre, who passed away in April, had long accused Andrew of sexually abusing her while she was under 18 and a victim of trafficking by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Although the memoir doesn’t present new revelations, it has reignited a series of accusations against Andrew, who is working to manage the fallout from the ongoing scandal surrounding his association with Epstein. In response, the 65-year-old prince announced he would cease using his titles, including Duke of York, while vehemently denying Giuffre’s allegations.

Giuffre’s book, which surged to the top of Amazon’s bestseller list prior to its release, recounts her initial encounter with Andrew in March 2001. She also disclosed that the royal’s team attempted to employ “internet trolls” to harass her after she sued him years later.

Detailing three encounters with Andrew, Giuffre claimed she was introduced to him by Epstein and Maxwell in London at the age of 17, where she alleged being coerced into having sex with him on multiple occasions. She shared that Maxwell likened the meeting to a fairytale, where she was instructed to please Andrew as she did Epstein.

Further, Giuffre described receiving $15,000 from Epstein after engaging in sexual activities with Andrew. The encounters reportedly took place in New York and on Epstein’s private Caribbean island.

In 2022, Andrew settled a lawsuit with Giuffre for an undisclosed sum without admitting guilt but acknowledged her suffering as a victim of sex trafficking. Giuffre expressed a desire for a meaningful apology and recognition of her experiences rather than a confession.

Amid mounting pressure, calls have emerged for Buckingham Palace and the U.K. government to strip Andrew of his titles and evict him from his residence near Windsor Castle. Lawmakers are pushing for formal measures to revoke his royal status, with demands for his cooperation in U.S. investigations into Epstein’s crimes.

Ghostwriter Amy Wallace emphasized Giuffre’s courage in challenging Andrew and praised her for standing up against injustice.
