Samsung has recently unveiled a trio of new Galaxy S26 smartphones, with one featuring an innovative Privacy Display that sets it apart from the iPhone. The S26 Ultra is now slimmer and faster, equipped with a Privacy Display that prevents unauthorized viewing of the screen.
Once activated in the settings, the Privacy Display ensures that content disappears when not directly viewed, enhancing privacy in public settings. Users can customize settings to block specific apps or notifications from prying eyes.
Samsung described the Galaxy S26 Ultra as the first in the mobile industry to offer a built-in Privacy Display, revolutionizing privacy protection on smartphones. By controlling pixel light dispersion, the display maintains clear, bright content for the user while restricting visibility to others.
In addition to the Privacy Display, the Ultra boasts a sleek design, extended battery life, and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform from Qualcomm. Rapid charging capabilities allow for a quick charge to 75% in just 30 minutes.
The Ultra also features an updated quad rear camera for improved night photography and enhanced video capture with upgraded Super Steady capabilities. It includes an S Pen for note-taking on the 6.9-inch AMOLED screen.
Joining the Ultra are the standard S26 with a 6.3-inch screen and the larger 6.7-inch Plus version, both powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip and equipped with triple-lens rear cameras.
Samsung’s new smartphones receive a significant boost in smart features with the Galaxy AI upgrade. Features like Now Nudge provide relevant suggestions to enhance user experience and productivity.
Despite the impressive updates, the cost of Samsung’s new smartphones is expected to increase this year. The UK pricing for the Galaxy S26 range is as follows:
– S26: 256GB £879, 512GB £1,049
