Apart from his work with Sparks, Michaels showcased his musical talent in various films and collaborations with artists such as The Cherry Vanilla Band, Peach & Lee, Ellen Foley, John Mellencamp, and Ronnie Wood. He also released two solo albums, “Calling All Girls” in 1980 and “Lumia” in 1981.

Michaels, who was also known for his stint as a producer and marketing manager, resided in Connecticut. His impact on the music industry during the 1970s and beyond left a lasting legacy, earning him recognition as a skilled musician and artist.
