Kardashian shared her diagnosis in a preview for the seventh season of her reality show, “The Kardashians,” which recently debuted on Hulu. She mentioned that doctors identified a “small aneurysm” following an MRI scan and hinted that stress might have contributed to the condition, particularly highlighting the strain she experienced after her separation from musician Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) in 2022.
Kardashian, who has previously advocated for full-body MRI scans, faced some opposition from certain medical professionals who argue that such scans are not universally beneficial. It remains unclear if Kardashian was displaying any symptoms related to the aneurysm, as her representatives did not respond immediately to requests for comment.
A brain aneurysm involves the expansion or bulging of blood vessels in the brain, which can lead to a brain bleed if the vessels rupture, resulting in a hemorrhagic stroke. According to the Mayo Clinic, while brain aneurysms are relatively common and often not life-threatening, they are frequently detected during screenings for other medical issues.
Although stress is not typically cited as a direct cause of brain aneurysms, it can contribute to high blood pressure, which is a known risk factor for the condition, according to Johns Hopkins University. In addition to her role as a lawyer in the Hulu series “Alls Fair,” Kardashian has devoted the past year to completing her Law Office Study Program as part of her aspiration to become a trial lawyer. Earlier this year, she provided testimony in the trial of a gang dubbed the “grandpa robbers,” who were accused of stealing millions of dollars’ worth of jewelry from her at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.
