Over the years, the festival has transitioned through various locations, attracting a diverse array of performers such as Ian & Sylvia, Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, and Serena Ryder. Jones McVeigh’s dedication to nurturing young talent was evident in her support for emerging artists like Samantha Windover.

Despite facing financial challenges in 1987, Jones McVeigh played a pivotal role in ensuring the festival’s continuity. Her legacy lives on through the festival’s Hall of Fame and an online archive dedicated to showcasing its rich history and her contributions. Jones McVeigh regarded the festival as her greatest achievement and hoped for its enduring success beyond her lifetime.

Jones McVeigh’s impact on the folk music community and her dedication to Mariposa will be remembered by her family, including her brother, six children, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
