Soccer sensation Delaney Baie Pridham has clinched the title of Northern Super League player of the year, adding another prestigious accolade to her collection. The Ottawa Rapid striker has also been crowned the league’s top forward, securing the coveted golden boot award for netting the highest number of goals, a remarkable total of 18.

Pridham, a talented athlete holding dual Canadian-American citizenship and hailing from northern California, dominated the NSL statistics by leading in both total shots taken (83) and shots on target (42). In a noteworthy achievement, she achieved the league’s inaugural hat trick in June, showcasing her exceptional skills on the field.

Joining Pridham in the spotlight is Ottawa’s own Jyllissa Harris, who recently received the title of NSL defender of the year. The duo, along with teammates Olivia Scott and Min A Lee, have all been recognized in the league’s esteemed “team of the year” lineup.

Despite finishing as runners-up in the six-team league, the Rapid displayed a commendable performance, securing 11 wins, eight losses, and six draws, amassing a total of 39 points from 25 challenging encounters. Looking ahead, they are set to face off against the Vancouver Rise in a highly anticipated home-and-home semifinal series scheduled for the upcoming week.
