A global audience was appalled by surveillance footage showing a 12-year-old girl returning home from school only to vanish and later be discovered deceased in a trunk near her parents’ workplace. Shockingly, the girl reportedly endured a horrific ordeal of alleged rape, torture, and murder at the hands of Dahbia Benkired, an Algerian woman residing in the same building under a deportation order from France.
Recent court proceedings unveiled disturbing details of the tragic incident, including video evidence of the suspect dragging a trunk containing the victim’s body into a bar. Lola Daviet, the young girl, was purportedly subjected to heinous acts, such as rape, scissor and box cutter attacks, partial decapitation, and suffocation by Benkired, who allegedly sought revenge after being denied access to the apartment building by the victim’s mother.
Medical testimony in court revealed that Lola sustained 38 wounds on her back and neck before succumbing to asphyxiation. The doctor attested to the physical and psychological trauma inflicted on the victim, emphasizing the anxiety and pain associated with asphyxia and head injuries.
