The lakefront property featured in the season finale of Crave’s successful hockey romance show, “The Cottage,” will officially be available for bookings on Airbnb, the rental platform announced on Tuesday.
Known as the Barlochan cottage, this three-bedroom retreat situated in Muskoka Lakes, Ontario, has sparked significant interest among fans following its appearance in the episode. The cottage was where protagonists Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov spent their summer, turning it into a pivotal moment in their relationship as they shared their fears, family stories, and dreams of a future together.
Boasting expansive lake views and floor-to-ceiling windows, the cottage has been a backdrop for intense discussions, heartfelt conversations, and unforgettable experiences, according to a press release. Starting from March 3 at noon ET, guests can reserve weekend stays at the cottage up to May for $248.10 CAD per night, a nod to the jersey numbers of Hollander (24) and Rozanov (81). Bookings for the summer season, starting June 1, will have pricing details revealed later.
Airbnb mentioned that the property owner, who chose to remain anonymous, collaborated closely with the platform to enable this listing. In celebration of the Barlochan cottage’s debut on Airbnb, the company disclosed that a donation will be made to the Children’s Foundation of Muskoka, a charity supporting underprivileged children in the region, without specifying the amount.
