Norris Cautiously Casts Doubt on McLaren’s Edge

-

Lando Norris confidently expressed his views to a journalist, stating, “I can speak my mind,” as he shared his belief that McLaren may not hold the edge at the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix. The British racer achieved consecutive wins in Brazil over the weekend, establishing a remarkable winning streak.

Heading into the final triple-header of the season, Norris enjoys a strong lead of 24 points over his teammate Oscar Piastri in the World Championship standings. His outstanding performance at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace included securing pole positions and clinching victory in both races.

Despite his recent success, Norris approaches the Las Vegas race with caution, recalling his early exit from the inaugural event in 2023. Reflecting on past experiences, he acknowledged Max Verstappen’s triumph last year as he finished sixth. During a post-race press conference in Sao Paulo, Norris downplayed McLaren’s chances of being race favorites in the upcoming event.

In response to a reporter’s challenge, Norris defended his stance, asserting his right to express his honest opinions without hesitation. He highlighted the team’s previous struggles at the circuit and emphasized the challenges they might face. Sky has enhanced its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports package to include various streaming platforms and comprehensive coverage of Formula 1 alongside other sports leagues.

Norris concluded by reiterating his genuine assessment of McLaren’s prospects for the upcoming race, emphasizing the team’s historical difficulties at the circuit. Despite uncertainties, he remains open to the possibility of victory while staying committed to his candid approach, regardless of differing opinions.
