Sky has recently unveiled upcoming changes to its TV channel lineup, set to take effect imminently. Among these adjustments, two services, Sky Showcase and Sky Max, are scheduled to cease operations on Tuesday, February 24. However, to offset these closures, Sky has exciting news for its subscribers with the reintroduction of the popular Sky One channel.
The revitalized Sky One will debut tomorrow, offering viewers a rich assortment of comedy and entertainment programs. Fresh content, such as The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, will be showcased alongside beloved series like Rob & Romesh Vs., The Paper, and Ted.
Moreover, Sky One will become the exclusive home of Saturday Night Live UK, set to premiere later this year. Carli Kerr, Managing Director of Sky TV & NOW, expressed enthusiasm for the channel’s relaunch, emphasizing its role as a unique and vibrant destination for premium entertainment.
Sky One is scheduled to go live on channel 106 on Tuesday, February 24, providing subscribers with a diverse range of viewing options. Additionally, Sky is introducing a new plan called Ultimate TV, priced at £24 per month, granting access to popular streaming services like Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app.
Furthermore, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will gain access to over 130 premium channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, and Sky History. As an added bonus, Sky Cinema users will enjoy a dedicated Disney movie channel directly integrated into the TV guide, simplifying access to Hollywood blockbusters.
The £24 plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads (starting in March), HBO Max Basic with Ads (available from March 26th), Hayu (from July, with select shows in March), and over 130 channels from Sky.
