Terrifying video footage captured a dramatic incident where a runaway tipper truck collided with a garbage truck and cars after running through traffic lights. The crash occurred in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia on the morning of October 21. Police reported that the lorry lost control while descending a hill, leading to the collision.
A dashcam recording revealed the moment the tipper truck, traveling at high speed, crashed into the vehicles passing through the intersection after the traffic light turned green. The impact caused severe damage to the front of the garbage truck and scattered debris on the road.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department responded promptly to the accident, which involved a tipper lorry, a garbage truck, and two Perodua Myvi cars. Upon arrival, they found three injured male foreign nationals and a 34-year-old woman. All four individuals were rescued from their vehicles before the firefighters arrived and were handed over to paramedics.
Subsequent investigations confirmed a total of six injuries, including the 35-year-old local tipper lorry driver. One victim sustained a broken leg. The authorities took the lorry driver into custody for questioning and initiated an inquiry into the incident.
In a separate incident earlier this year, a lorry veered across the central reservation of a motorway, narrowly avoiding a collision with oncoming traffic. He managed to avoid the oncoming lorry by swerving into the middle lane at the last moment.
Reflecting on the incident, Peter described the sudden and dangerous situation, highlighting his quick reflexes that averted a catastrophic outcome. Following the incident, he contacted the transport company to ensure no injuries occurred before offering to share the footage. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries despite the close call.
